Rafting Trips in Cataract Canyon


Itinerary at a Glance:

Cataract Canyon offers both motorized and oar powered trips. The main difference is the trip length with motor trips taking 3-4 days and oar powered trips 5-6 days depending on the time of year and water levels in the river. The season runs from April-October.


Option 1:

Day 0:  Arrive in Green River, UT overnight.  Lodging is additional.

Day 1: Meet your outfitter in the morning for transfer to the river put in at Mineral Bottom on the Green River. You will spend the next 3-6 days rafting, exploring and camping.  Once you are about five miles below the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers the action starts and for about 20 miles you will experience some of the best Class III-IV white water on the Colorado River.

Last Day:  Arrive at Hite Marina and depending on transportation option chosen return to Green River, UT.


Option 2:

Day 0:  Arrive in Moab, UT overnight.  Lodging is additional.

Day 1:  Meet your outfitter in the morning for transfer to the river put in at Potash on the Colorado River.  You will spend the next 3-6 days rafting, exploring and camping. Once you are about five miles below the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers the action starts and for about 20 miles you will experience some of the best Class III-IV white water on the Colorado River.

Last Day:  Arrive at Hite Marin and depending on transportation option chosen return to Moab, UT.
