Full week Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Belize international airport, taxi to the Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel, orientation, overnight & lodging.

Day 2:  Group breakfast and walk to private dock. Two-three hour 65 mile boat ride to Long Caye from Belize City. After lunch you will move into your cabana and start enjoying the island.

 Day 3:  Start with a morning sea kayak orientation.  After lunch some folks will take a guided paddle to a nearby patch reef to snorkel.  Others might enjoy a windsurfing lesson or certified divers can take a dive (additional cost).

 Day 4-8:  Spend your week kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling, fishing, SCUBA diving, surf kayaking or just "hammock surfing" your choice.

 Day 9: You will have a chance to do one last snorkel or dive before lunch. You will depart the island for Belize City and transfer to the Belize Biltmore and enjoy a group dinner.

Day 10: Earliest day to fly home.

 

Half Week Itinerary- 5 nights

 Day 3-5:  Spend these days kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling, fishing, SCUBA diving, surf kayaking or just "hammock surfing" your choice,

 Day 6:  You will depart after lunch by boat to Belize City at which point you are on your own.

Half Week Itinerary- 4 nights

Day 1: Meet group at 10:00 AM at the boat dock in Belize City for boat transfer to Long Caye.

Day 2-3:  Spend these days kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling, fishing, SCUBA diving, surf kayaking or just plain relaxing.

Day 4: You depart after lunch by boat to Belize City and your hotel and dinner is included in the package (see day 9 above)

Belize Adventure Week Multi Sport -
8 Days  



Day 1
: Arrive at
Belize international airport, taxi to the Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel for 4:30 PM meeting then at 5:00 PM transfer to Maya Mountain Lodge for dinner and overnight.  This is the base for the inland part of the trip.

Day 2:  Drive to Caves Branch put in and journey underground running the Caves Branch River Class I-II in rafts and inflatable kayaks. A ¼ mile portage on a jungle trail is included in the rafting experience.

Day 3:  Today you will run the Mopan River on sit ontop hard-shell kayaks in the morning. The six mile stretch of river has numerous Class II rapids along with abundant bird life.  In the afternoon a visit to the Xunantunich ruins, home to Mayan rulers who controlled this part of Belize and Guatemala.

Day 4:  Explore Actun Tunchil Muknal, the Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre.  This cavern was considered to be the entrance to the Mayan home of the subterranean gods.  The access is by 4X4, hiking and a short swim across a creek to the cave entrance. Back to the Maya Mountain Lodge for the last night.

Day 5:  After breakfast drive to Belize City for the 2 hour boat trip to the Water Sports Center on Long Caye.  After lunch its time to get in the water for snorkeling and if the surf is up a surf kayak lesson.

Day 6:  After a morning sea kayak orientation and lunch you will paddle to a nearby reef to snorkel from the kayaks.  SCUBA diving is also an option for an additional fee.

Day 7:  Start with a windsurfing instruction class or choose from all the other activities available on the island.

Day 8:  One last morning on the island and then after lunch the boat takes the group back to Belize City arriving between 3 and 5 PM.  Dinner that night is included along with lodging at the Belize Biltmore Hotel

Day 9:  Earliest day to fly home
