Glacier Bay 5 Day Escape. Gustavus and return
This family friendly sea kayaking adventure visits a monument of Southeast Alaska's Inside Passage, the dramatic, scenic tidewater glaciers of Glacier Bay National Park. Cruise into Glacier Bay National Park and travel back into time when the majority North America was covered by Glaciers.
You will witness the rebirth of a new land as retreating ice and calving glaciers make way for new plant and animal life. Glacier Bay is best seen from a quiet non-obtrusive sea kayak. Paddling will be mixed with short hikes on shore. The views are spectacular. Hope to see an abundance of wildlife. The itinerary is relaxed enough to allow ample time for viewing the wildlife and scenery, hiking, relaxing, and beach combing.

Wrangell 6 Day Escape. Yakutat and return
West of Glacier Bay, at the foot of the 18,000-foot Mount Saint Elias, lies the remote and spectacularly beautiful fjords of Icy Bay. Along this stunning coastline of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, you will spend a spectacular 9 days paddling and hiking. Bears, mountain goats, moose, wolves and seals live in the area along with unique birds including Aleutian terns, jaegers and swans. This trip is an extreme adventure because it is so remote and deep in the Alaska Wilderness
The coasts of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park feature a large set of fjords off the Gulf of Alaska called Icy Bay. These were created just last century during a rapid retreat of the glaciers that now lie at the head of the fjords. The backdrop is the St. Elias Mountains, the highest coastal mountain range in the world.
This expedition is the most rigorous trip that is offered. Participants must be in good shape, have a strong sprit that strives for adventure and have the curiosity of a true adventuress. Itineraries vary, and some days might involve long paddles or difficult hiking. The weather can be unpredictable. Though temperatures usually stay above 50 degrees and may get into the 70's, storms off the Gulf of Alaska can hit with strong winds and driving rain. Begins and ends in Yakutat.
