Itinerary at a Glance
Option 1.
Plan to overnight in Las Vegas the night before your trip begins.
Day 1. Depart Las Vegas the date your trip begins on your flight to the Bar Ten Ranch. Settle in at the ranch and choose from several afternoon ranch activities including a short horse back ride, roping practice, skeet shooting, horseshoes, volleyball and ATV rides. Enjoy a western dutch oven dinner and evening music and entertainment. Sleep dormitory style in the lodge or in one of a eight covered wagons.
Day 2. After a hearty ranch breakfast board the helicopter for a short flight down to the river to meet your guides and the boats. After loading the boats and an orientation you head off down the river and into the Grand Canyon's splendor from the inside out. Camp on a beach alongside the river tonight and after a hearty dinner sleep under a blanket of stars bright enough to light camp!
Day 3. Wake to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and after a big breakfast and loading the boats you head off down the river again to run the last rapids in the Grand Canyon and hike to the pretty and intriguing waterfall in a cavern at Travertine Grotto. After lunch you transfer from the rafts to a river jet boat for the 1.5 hour ride out to Lake Mead where an air conditioned coach returns you to Las Vegas.
Option 2.
Same start and ending as above except instead of one night on the river you'll spend two nights on the river and have more time to hike and explore the Canyon or relax and enjoy camp life.
Option 3.
Same as Option 2 except there is no stay at the ranch. On the morning your trip begins you are flown from Las Vegas to the ranch, transfer to the helicopter and go straight to the boats to begin your rafting adventure camping out two nights.
